Previously Used WordPress Domains

  Hello. I’d like to use a domain that was previously in use for a site that has since been deleted (notinghamo.wordpress.com). When do WordPress domains come back into circulation after being taken down?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Yes! they never come back into circulation again.
  WordPress.com respect bloggers’ ownership of their content and therefore we won’t move or delete a site without its owner’s consent — no matter how long it has been since their last update.

  WordPress.com respect bloggers’ ownership of their content and therefore we won’t move or delete a site without its owner’s consent

  The site in question has already been deleted. Could the user recover it? I am in contact with them. Could they relinquish control of the domain? They have indicated a willingness to do so.

  Reversing a deleted site is only possible within 30 days from the day it was deleted by the user. once it has crossed the time period it can’t be reversed and the site address can’t be reused.

  If the deleted site has not crossed the 30 days time frame, then the site owner can reverse the deletion if they contact WordPress.com support by replying back to the same email notification they received when the site was deleted.
