The price for the PErsonal plan went from $9/mo to $18/mo sometime in September and the old price is still listed several places on the website, but when you click to purchase it defaults to the annual plan for $96. The annual plan used to be $48. That’s a pretty significant increase.

I’m not sure that I understood where you are arriving at that amount, it appears that your account is set to Turkish lira (TRY) so I don’t actually see pricing in USD when I check in places like this: https://wordpress.com/plans/matitaentertainment.wordpress.com
Are you looking at pricing on a different page or while logged in under a different account instead? Thanks for the additional info!
Did you wish to set your account to another currency instead? We are able to set your account to any of the ones we list here: https://wordpress.com/support/payment/#supported-currencies
