price modeling
-
Hi
I have a tutoring website, using LearnDash and I would like to charge for my courses a dynamic price based on how many people have joined the course.
so, before the customer gets charged at the beginning of monthly billing cycle, I’d like to stripe to check how many people have joined the course and bill the customer based on the number of people have joined.
if 1 person joined: $199
if 2 person joined: $189
if 3 person joined: $179
if 4 person joined: $169
if 5 person joined: $159
if 6 person joined: $149
if 7 person joined: $139
if 8 person joined: $129
if 9 person joined: $119
if 10 person joined: $109
if 11 person joined: $99 (Cap)
First I’d like to know if stripe has an option for that, if not I have created a code using chatgpt, but not sure if it’s complete or where to implement it.
secondly, would Woocommerce have such option?
please let me know in details what you can do and I’ll be in touch with the one that makes the most sense.
thank you!WP.com: Yes

Hello there @elisheki!
This is indeed an interesting premise! Thank you for reaching out to ask about this.
You’ll need to get a Dynamic Pricing plugin, and there are options for this in the WooCommerce Marketplace. You can see a search for ‘Dynamic Pricing’ plugins linked below:
https://woocommerce.com/product-category/woocommerce-extensions?q=dynamic+pricing&collections=product&page=1The code that you need to add would be for adding a condition that determines that the price of the product (the Learndash course) reduces in direct correlation to the reduction in its inventory amount.
This would however, require third party plugins, and a combination of code customisation of the plugin, either by yourself, or with the help of a developer.
As such, our scope is limited to assist further, but hopefully, I’ve pointed you in the right direction with things.
If you need developer assistance, I suggest our partner, Codeable: https://codeable.io/partners/wordpresscom/?ref=2ycmr
I’d suggest looking for a developer from Codeable or a Woo Expert so you can get some help from developers who are experienced in WooCommerce.

You will be able to get quotes from the companies there.
I hope this has been helpful, but feel free to reach out if you have any further questions!
