    1. I don’t understand URL endings like .help or .garden or .life. How do they work–how are they connected to WordPress? How do they work?

    Hi there!

    Those are what are known as “top-level domains” (TLD). They’re just like using .com or .edu – they’re just another extension you can use for your domain name.

    These TLDs aren’t connected to WordPress.com – they’re just suggestions we make for people wanting to create a site. Wikipedia has the full list of TLDs that are available in the domain marketplace.

    So instead of creating example.com or if that domain doesn’t exist, you could create example.blog or example.life instead if they’re available. It’s just another way to get creative with your website name. :)
