  Hi, I am a professor and we want to include wordpress.com in our Intro To Web class. We need the premium version (i believe its the only one to have CSS access). Do you give any kind of discount for a class or will every student just have to pay the $8 a month?

  Thanks for getting in touch.

  Yes, every account would need the premium plan added to in order to access their theme’s CSS and make any changes.

  The fee is actually collected on an annual basis, so each student would need to pay for the annual subscription at that time of purchase. It’s refundable for 30 days, but that’s a big ask for college kids I think..

  Have you considered using something like Stylus? It’s a Chrome browser extension for editing CSS on specific web pages.

  Another idea would be to set up a few sites, instead of each student needing their own, and then everyone could be added to the sites as contributor roles, where they could work on the CSS.
