Pricing

The premium plan listed on the site is $8/mo. billed annually. I assume this means $96/year. However, to confirm, are there any other potential fees to consider? For example, website hosting fees.

Yes you pay for a year (or for two years) upfront and that price includes hosting a custom domain name (or mapping an existing domain name). Other plans are available.

Hi there, WordPress.com is a hosting provider, so all plans (including the Free Plan) include hosting. You are correct in the Premium Plan being $96 a year, but once you pay that amount, most people wouldn’t run into any other additional charges unless they wished to upgrade plan again. :)

I apologize for my ignorance and thank you for your help.
Do you know what the price is to register a new domain through WordPress? Or, is that even an option with WordPress, as it may only be only for hosting?
-
No worries, we’re happy to help. Yes, you can register a domain with WordPress.com, but the prices depend on the ending of your domain. You can view a list of prices here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-pricing-and-available-tlds/
Bare in mind all paid plans come with a free domain credit, so one domain is free.
