Pricing Query for temporary website

    I would like to host a brand new website under a new account. I intend on paying the standard fee (lowest pricing band) for a url which doesn’t include the ‘.wordpress.com’ suffix. However, this website is only going to be hosted for 3 months, after which the url and website will be redundant and I will cease payments and website operations.

    Is it possible to host a website with a non-‘wordpress’ suffix for such a short space of time?

    Will I have to pay for the entire year (as the offer implies on the front page), or only the three months of hosting?

    How long will it take for the website to be online?

    Hi there,

    Domains can only be registered for a year at a time. This is true for all domains, no matter where you buy them. You can cancel a domain before a year is over, but 48 hours after you register a domain with us we have to pay the registrar where that domain is registered, so after 48 hours we can’t refund the domain at all anymore.

    We offer full refunds on our plans for 30 days after purchase, but currently we don’t have a monthly payment option.
