  Hello! I’m just looking to clarify a couple of things. What tier would I need to purchase in order to be adfree? Also, after the first year of hosting with the free domain, what is the cost? If I already have my own domain and would like to use that space, what is the cost for that?

  You’d need a Pro plan to remove ads. You could keep paying for your domain where it is and connect it to your site when upgraded. If you wish to transfer your domain to WordPress.com then you’d pay to renew plan and renew domain annually. The cost would depend on the domain suffix.

  While the Pro plan does not include ads by default, you can also upgrade to the Starter plan and purchase a No Ads addon, which can be found under Tools → Marketing in your dashboard.
