Primary Menu disappears in Twenty Sixteen theme
-
Hi,
I understood that Twenty Sixteen is supposed to display the primary menu (eg Home, About, Contact) in upper right corner, but mine has disappeared. It reappears in Twenty Thirteen so I don’t think there’s a problem with my set-up.
Here’s the site https://digitalpublishingmmu.wordpress.com/

Hello there,
When I go to the page that you have linked here, I can see what you are referring to, that there is no menu where it should display in the Twenty Sixteen theme.
I have gone to my own test site, and have been able to have a menu displayed in this theme, by following the directions here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#2-add-menu-items
If you don’t mind looking at the link I provided to see if the box Primary Menu in the Display Location is checked, it would help me to know if this is the issue, or if it is something else we will need to troubleshoot.
I hope this helps :) Please let me know if there is anything else!

Thank you so much! This fixed it straightaway. So, now I’m wondering – did I accidentally un-tick that Display box at some point? Or is it something that always needs to be actively clicked in this theme?
Any idea? -
You are so very welcome! Glad I could help :)
From what I could see when I did it myself with my own test site, when you use the twenty sixteen them, yes, you need to make sure the box is checked so that the menu will show.
Each theme is unique in the way it is setup when you first apply it to your site. I always suggest looking through the them’s overview and setup to see how to make the changes you want :)
Have a great day!
