Prior Theme and Header Image
-
Hello. I accidentally changed my theme. In doing so, I lost the header image I designed for it years ago. I don’t recall what theme I used. Would a kind moderator let me know what theme I had used prior to changing it?
page: musesmachine.wordpress.com
And, is there a way to view an old capture of the blog as was, so I might be able to score the old header?
THANK YOU!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The site was using Pilcrow, which you should be able to activate from https://wordpress.com/theme/pilcrow
With that said, Pilcrow was retired several years ago, so I strongly recommend taking the opportunity to switch to a newer theme.
As for an older view of the site that still has the header image you want, you should be able to find one under https://web.archive.org/web/2020*/https://musesmachine.wordpress.com/

Macmanx, thank you very much. I’m not going back to the pilcrow theme (why does WP retire themes?). I found another that works out OK in between posting this comment and seeing the reply. I even made a new header image to fit the new theme I found (Cerauno).
About the featured image, one other thing: My featured image shows up at the top of the post it is the featured image for. I don’t prefer it do that. Is there a way to blanket prevent the image from doing that? Even if it’s just for individual posts.
Thank you, again!

And, on the subject of the featured image showing up in the post, additional issue. It acts as a hotlink back to my main profile. Can I at least make it stop doing that?
Thanks, Macmamx

Hi there,
why does WP retire themes?
For several reasons – many of the themes that are retired are either not optimized to be used with the new editor, or are not responsive themes for mobile devices.
Is there a way to blanket prevent the image from doing that? Even if it’s just for individual posts.

Both of those will require CSS which is a feature that is part of the Premium and Business Plans:
If you decide to purchase one of those plans, let us know, and we can help you with the CSS, if needed.
Thank you,
