The option to use the privacy settings exists for you if you are logged in under the username account that registered the blog in question and you are the Admin of the blog.

I am logged in under my account and I am the admin.
It is only showing Public Profile. I have no other options… -
The two threads are making my head spin. This one does not reveal you are using an iPad. Note that the main dashboard isn’t designed to work with touch devices through the tablet and smartphone browsers. Do you have another computer you can use to access you blog?

I do not understand how to log into wordpress on my laptop. I have never blogged before and so I am confused and there was no place for me to log in on my computer and I did not understand the whole download thing.

I have flagged this thread and your other thread for Staff attention as it’s Monday and they have appeared on the forum again. Please be patient while waiting.

Hi smutekbr,
To change the privacy of your blog, you’ll need to navigate to your blog dashboard, which you can get to from the main menu (top right) in the admin bar while on WordPress.com.
Alternatively, you can go to your blog dashboard by appending
/wp-admin/to the end of your WordPress.com blog address.e.g. http://thewayfarerswanders.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
Once you’re in your dashboard, you can go to Settings -> Privacy to mark your blog as private.
Let me know if you have any other questions. :-)
