  I set up a security lock, but I dont know if my subscribers still get my updates emailed to them. If so, I’ve gotta stop that.

  You would have to invite readers in order for them to see your private blog.
  Here are the three settings for privacy:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/#viewing-a-private-blog
  1. Allow search engines to index this site.
  2. Ask search engines not to index this site.
  3. I would like my blog to be visible only to users I choose

  So, previous subscriptions will not be going out once I have set my blog to private?

  I don’t think so. Unless they have wp.com blogs or accounts and you have invited them to your site, they shouldn’t be getting the emails. But now on second thought, subscriptions are different from RSS feeds. Maybe another volunteer knows for certain.

  Where do I manage my subscriptions and followers? Maybe I can unsubscribe them? I can find that area to see them.
