  Hi, I have had a wordpress site for several years. Is it possible to password-protect it, so that is only available to family, for example. If so, what’s the simplest way of doing this?

  Hi There,

  You can setup Privacy setting options on your site to Private and allow only valid user to access your site.

  The Site Privacy setting controls who can view your site, allowing you to make the site private or public. To access this setting, go to My Site → Settings and look for Privacy on the General tab.

  If you want specific people to be able to view it (and add comments, if you’ve enabled them), you’ll need to invite them to be a viewer.
