  I am setting up a site and want to make it private. When I click on privacy, I do not get the option to select Private

  Click on any post and to the right, you will see ‘visibility’ click the blue link ‘public’ and you should be able to change it from the drop-down.

  @pauldanielleandtruck all new WPcom sites are Private by default until you’ve launched your site. If you are having trouble with that, please give us the address of the site you need help with.

  
  @mercedesblak – What you mention will change the visibility of a single post or page, but not the entire site.

  I plan on spending less time on the web this year.
  My WordPress will be my only internet window from now on.
  The web has become such a sea of toxicity. Our British government have had enough too going by their actions lately.
