1)Is it possible to, after setting up the blog, change from open access to only invited members and therefore maximum privacy.
2)Is it possible to delete any secondary accounts I have created under the same primary user?
3) Is it possible to have an email notification sent out to all chosen subscribers on a blogroll, when a new post is added?

1) Yes, if you go to Dashboard > Options > Privacy you can change the setting to make it private; you’ll then send invites to people to sign up so they can read the blog.
http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/07/can-i-password-protect-my-whole-blog/2) If they’re set up as separate users, it should be possible, as long as you’re logged in as the admin; you should be able to delete any other users by going to Dashboard > Users and selecting the accounts to remove.
3) No, but you can offer email updates through somewhere like Feedburner. This link should help you set it up. Hope that helps.

Hi, there. #1 – yes, although cached copies of your pages will remain in Google for a while.
#2 – I’m not clear what you mean by secondary accounts. Do you mean other blogs?
#3 – Through Feedburner you can offer email subscriptions to your feed; the email is sent once a day if something new has been posted. Your blog subscribers would also have to be your feed subscribers. Many of us use it and I’ve found it to be quite reliable.

I just downloaded wordpress.org 2.3.2 and I don’t have the Privacy Option appearing under my Options Tab. Any suggestions?? THANKS

@cactuscreek – What’s the url of your blog? If you downloaded it thinking it would be used on a free blog hosted at wordpress.com, you don’t need to do that and can not in any way install it.
If you have a self-hosted blog powered by wordpress software, you need to be at http://wordpress.org/support
