  I want my blog to be completely private….not available to anyone not invited to join. I selected the option but there is an arrow in the upper right saying “next blog”. Presumably this means anyone from another blog could arrow in and find my blog. Is this true? How do I stop it?

  The arrow for the “next blog” is only there for you to view others blogs are WordPress. But other WP users won’t come across your blog, unless you add them to your user list.

  ruhi is exactly right.

  I’ve had a completely private blog here for over a year and the stats counter is completely flat at 0. Search engine results are complete blank, etc.

  In contrast my public blogs have been seen using the next on the admin bar (it shows up on the stats page).

  People still use ‘next’ then? I’ve not had any incoming link in months from that..

  I use it all the time, but it doesn’t seem to be quite random. I see the same blogs too frequently.

  Yeah, everytime I use it I get the same five-ten blogs over and over again.
