  I would like to start a blog whilst travelling only for the interest of myself and family. Can I use word press for this and how? Kind regards.

  Hi, you can move your blog into private mode:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/#site-visibility-options

  Then invite your family to view it:
