  I’m starting a family album and I want to make it private – only selected people can access. But we are only given the choice to select users of wordpress.com – can we customize users by email address? Please advise.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Sorry, what I mean is – can we allow other people who does not have account with wordpress.com ? Thanks.

  No. If your blog is set as ‘Private’ only registered WordPress users see your blog when logged in. You can invite non-current WordPress users by email and ask them to sign up for a username (Users > Add New).

  The only way for non-wordpress.com users to see your blog is to make it public while password-protecting individual posts and pages.
