privacy and rss feed

  I’d like to keep my blog private yet also have it available for RSS feeds for those invited readers who use blog aggregators. Is this possible? If not, is the best option to have it public, but block it from search engines? Thanks.

  If you have a private blog does the sign-up via email work?
  This is what I found for privacy setting but no indication about the email posts or follow posts feature.
