Privacy concerns regarding "follow comments by email"

    I’ve been struggling to understand under what scenarios/settings the admin email address could be revealed to a commentor. For example, when “follow comments/blog by email” is active, what source address is used in the sent email? I think a tutorial on this issue would be of great value. I was also wondering if there is a means for a party to “contact” the admin without revealing the admin’s email address (risk in a reply)?

    thank you

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    the “You just subscribed to” is a “donotreply@” generic WordPress.COM address – no real relationship to the blog you just subscribed to.

    You can put a “Contact Form” on your blog and people can send you a message but they have no details on about you and don’t get your email

    Hi there :)

    @demandmyth
    WordPress.com provides a secure [contact-form] we can use on a static page. This means we don’t have to post an email address in the format which email address harvesting spam bots can scoop up for theie spam masters who then use it and sell it to other spammers.
