Privacy Error
-
I have purchased a domain through google. I set it so that it forwards to my WordPress site. When I enter the Google domain URL, I receive the error ‘Your connection is not private. Attackers might be trying to steal your information from ‘wordpress URL.’ ‘This server could not prove that it is ‘wordpress URL’; its security certificate is from *.wordpress.com. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection.’
How can I fix this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thank you for responding. I figured out my problem. I had configured the Google domain to forward to https;//www.XXX.wordpress.com. When I removed the “www” from the forwarding address, the problem was fixed.

Hi there,
I just want to note that if you want your WordPress.com site to actually display at your domain, forwarding won’t do that. All forwarding does is send traffic that arrives at your domain on to the site you specify.
To have your WordPress.com site appear at your domain you’ll need the domain mapping upgrade included in all our paid plans instead.
