Privacy for unfinished blog

Hi,
I would like to know how to make my blog/website completely private and invisible to search engines until it is complete. I tried changing the Privacy settings from “ask search engines not to index”, to “making it private and visible to users I choose” and I still can see it when I search, In its current state, anyone can search it, find it and edit it! Please help.

If the blog content has been indexed then it will aapear in search results.
Unless you log out of WordPress.com and clear you cache and cookies http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
you will see the blog after you choose option 3 http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
The Admin Edit link cannot be seen or used by anyone but the blog Admin when they are logged in. -
