Privacy issue

Hello,
I am trying to get rid of a document which is coming up on a google search of one of our associate artists. I’ve made our website private to try and get rid of the document but it is still coming up in a google search. It is a C.V which has an artists address and phone number on it and they have requested we remove it but I can’t work out how to do it.

Wordpress.com is in no way related to search engines. You have to deal with the different search engines and ask them to remove that file.

That file still exists in your site’s media library, in other words, it hasn’t been deleted from your site. As long as it continues to exist on your site, it will remain indexed with search engines as well.

Click “Delete Permanently” on that page, and the file will be removed from the media library, and will be purged from our servers completely within a few hours, so it will no longer be accessible via direct link.
However, this will not remove it from Google, as we don’t have any access to or control over Google’s servers to remove the file from their cache. So the file can continue to exist on Google’s end for several months after you’ve deleted it here.
But once you’ve deleted it here, you can request Google directly to remove the file on their end:
