PRIVACY – NEED HELP

I want my blog to be anonymous – how do I ensure that friends can not find me via facebook, or my email address?

If you do not want your blog to be public and available to everyone on the internet then you can set the visibility to private. http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/ Provided you use a unique pseudonym and a unique email address and do not “leak” any identifying information out in the blog, you may remain pseudonymous.

Don’t use you real name, or anything close to it.
Don’t make any connection to FB in any way, shape or form.
Use a new, anonymous email address. They are freely obtainable form a wide variety of sources.
Set you WP site to Private.

P.S. Do note that this forum is a public forum, the threads are indexed by Google and other search engines and are available to anyone who is using the internet.

I would suggest you don’t even reference your hometown, where you work or relative’s names.
It’s fairly easy to be anonymous on the web if you break the habit of identifying yourself or your location.

I would suggest that you avoid joining and posting to any online sites where you know your friends are members and are posting.

One last thought. Don’t post any pictures that contain people or locations/backgrounds anyone you know would recognize.
