Can I add the privacy option after registering a domain with WordPress.com..?

I want to register a domain through WordPress.com right away, however, in my current financial state, I cannot afford more than the registration. So… can I add on the privacy option, after I register the URL?

bumping after 4 hours is rude and usually results in your thread sitting for much much longer than it otherwise would have, as many people that help in this forum will not help bumped threads
