  I can’ t find the option to add a privacy policy to my site, i was following a youtube tutorial but the steps in the video is not what i see on the dashboard page. i need to add a privacy policy to my site, either modify a standardized one offered by wordpress or i can add a generic one from elsewhere

  You were likely seeing the open source /wp-admin/ interface. There are some differences between WordPress.com and the open source software WordPress.

  With WordPress.com, you don’t normally need to use /wp-admin/ but if you think you might there is a link to the old interface at the bottom of the left navigation menu at:
