  Hi!

  I’ve a free WordPress.com website and there is already a cookie and privacy banner, powered by WordPress. Other than that, I’ve a newsletter feature – also powered by WordPress (not mailchimp or other services) – that automatically sends an e-mail to the subscribers every time I post a blog post.

  Considering my situation, do you think that I need to create a privacy policy? All features on my website are powered by WordPress and I don’t collect any extra data.

  Hello there,

  Privacy policies come into play when you collect visitor data, as you rightly pointed out.
  Although a privacy policy option may not be required, it is a good practice when you have a large number of visitors.
