Privacy (privatize existing blog)
-
To privatize and existing blog I entered the usernames to be granted access, but when these people try to accessthe blog, they’re not only asked for a username but also a password. Where do I designate that?
Thx
RussThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The users that you designate as allowed to access the blog are actually registered WordPress users – they each need an account and password that they select.

Ah. Here’s my ultimate goal. I’m converting my blog to a private access one, and I’d like only my students to be able to access it (it will contain study info just for them). What’s the easiest way to do that?
Thanks -
Tell them each to register for a username (NOT a blog as well, just a username) at WordPress.com and then email you with the username from the email they used to register the account. Then you can Invite them, via your Dashboard, under Users.
It sounds more complex than it is.

I’d like to do the same for a couple of groups I facilitate, however, I expect some resistance in registering…
If I make my blog public but the posts private… all they would need is a password for that post, correct? One I can provide to them at out meeting, correct?
Will the password be post specific?
Will the title of the post still be visible to all?
Thank you WordPress, for all your hard work. I love your services and refer all my friends to you! :)

Each Post has it’s own individual Password. You can use the same Password on more than one Post if you want.
The Post titles are visible to anyone visiting your site.
