Privacy/security

My blog was recently hacked. It happened first in March but I didn’t do anything about it because I wasn’t sure what to do. There were 5-7 posts made that I didn’t make from the end of March until now. I changed my wordpress login password, marked all the comments that were generated by what I’m assuming were fake emails also generated by these posts as spam, then deleted them. I deleted all the posts. There were several new and fake accounts listed as admins, I deleted all those using the option of delete all the activity they made. Is there anything else I should do?

Sorry to hear it! I recommend getting in touch with your host to ask about backups, then secure your site so it’s safe:
For basic security, you’ll want to keep all plugins and your theme (and parent theme if needed) up to date, and remove any you’re sure you’re not using. Be sure you’re not using the same password for different services, etc. There are other tips in that article, too.
Or you’d be welcome to move your site to our services, so we can take care of maintenance and security for you:
