Privacy settings

I am very busy making an Internet site (no blog) for approximately 300 occupants of our apartments bldg. This site is set up for our association of owners (VvE). The privacy setting stands on ” I would like my blog to be private, visible only to users I choose” so that only the occupants have access to this site which contains all kinds of documents where outsiders have nothing to participate. If I understand it all well then I must upgrade to bring about a number larger than 35. That is no problem. Only: You can give up only one user name and no guard word for the new user. Means this that each new user also must produce a WordPress account to obtain to our Internet site? I hope that someone wants to react and me wants help.

    With pleasant groeten,

    Ruud van Mens

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yes, each user has to sign up for a wordpress account, but the do not have to get a blog, just a username and password. Then you can add them as users under settings > privacy so that they can view the blog. WordPress keeps track of who can and cannot view the blog from the wordpress accounts information.

Thanks a lot for your quick reaction. Saves me a lot of time and now I can set up the procedure for our users how to login in our site!

    Thanks a lot!
