  How do I make my blog private from users? It’s still under construction and I don’t want to make it public as yet. The Privacy option in the settings tab does not showcase the public, private options but has only one option – To make the blog hidden from Search engines.
  Please advise. I am using the 5.6 version.

  This is WordPress.com. Sites here can be set to private. If your unnamed site is hosted elsewhere with the .org software you’ll need a plugin to set the site to under construction.

  Thank you, yeah my site is hosted on wordpress.org.
  Could you possibly suggest a good plugin to help me do that?

  I’m having the same problem. My site is not hosted elsewhere under the .org option, but it seems to be showing to the public as i”m constructing it. I cannot find how to fix this…thanks.
