Privacy Settings
-
Someone recently told me my blog appeared in a Google search. I want to change my privacy settings so this does not happen. I read the support page on this topic, but cannot find the settings menu that is referenced. Please help! I do not want to post until I am able to control my audience!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

To change blog visibility go to > Settings > Reading. See the guide here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
IMPORTANT NOTE: Changing blog visibility settings, deleting blog content and deleting blogs does not remove any indexed content from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months.

Thanks! I actually did see that page, but cannot find that settings menu on my own page to edit it. When I click on the settings bar on my home page, it does not give me the “reading” option that is listed on that help page!

You MUST be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog. Then you go to the Admin side of your blog > Dashboard > Settings > Reading. See the guide here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
