privacy settings

    Hi,
    I’m a teacher using wordpress to create blogs in my class. However, I dont want that any browser find the blogs of my students. So, we all chose the wrigt settings (the private one) and eventhaugh, when we search the name of the students in google, we are able to see everything.

    What can we do?

    To change blog visibility to private go to > Settings > Reading scroll to Blog Visibility and choose option 3 . See the guide here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

    IMPORTANT NOTE: Deleting blogs or their content or making the blog private after indexing of the content has taken place does not remove indexed content from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months.

    But clicking the URL for a blog that has been made private does not provide access to it or the content in it. All it results in is this:

    Demander l’accès au site. Nous envoyons votre nom d’utilisateur au titulaire du site pour approbation.
    Déconnexion et Reconnexion sous un compte utilisateur différent. Actuellement vous êtes connecté sous ‘timethief’.
    Consulter les paramètres de confidentialité.
