Privacy Settings and Images in Publicize
-
For a short while recently, the Privacy settings on my shutterclutter site (using Altofocus) was set to Hidden. Prior to that time, the site was Public and it is again today Public.
Looking at my twitter stream today I noticed that none of the site’s featured images are appearing in my tweets, even those that were published prior to changing my Privacy settings. (temp screenshot)
Is this a result of having changed Privacy to Hidden? If so, can I expect twitter to catch up or do I need to do something?
Thanks for any insight.

Hi Jennifer!
Yes the change to private likely was the cause and yes, in theory, Twitter should update at some point.
You can try using the Twitter card validator tool and seeing if that forces a cache refresh on their end:

Thanks, Josh. It does look like being Hidden, even temporarily, interfered with image display on Twitter. Not all images have returned though, so I’ll give it a little while and then go through the validator. (Still far too many with missing images.)
Also, I found a reference in the Twitter support documents, but there’s nothing mentioned in our Publicize doc about a site needing to be fully Public, even if it makes sense. Just my rapidly deflating 2¢.
