Privacy settings dont work
-
Can anyone tell me, why my blog will appear on google search, even I have set the privacy settings that is not visible for search engine – but for people yes. So my blog is not only for certain members, but I dont want it to appear on google.
I noticed this by searching with my blogs name that it did appear on google – but with url linking to spaces witch my blog previoysly was. Mut also then, I had protected it. So what happened? Why suddenly people can use certain key words in google – and get my blog as search result? Can I do anything to this? Spaces page no longer exists.
Also, is it possible, to make such a setting, that each article would “turn old” in some point and it would not be published anymore? I don seem to find any other setting than “published” or “private” or “draft”. isnt there like “archive” – where would be old posts – but the way that I can see them, but no one else. To be clear, I am looking for setting that says expiry date for the blog. So that for example, after 1 month it would go to archive and would not be seen no longer.

The blog linked to your username is not “private” so I guess you are referring to another one. please post the URL starting with http:// for it so we can confirm whether or not you are referring to a free blog being free hosted by wordpress.com.
The privacy setting choices are three in number and you will find theme here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
Id your blog posts were previously indexed and you did not choose the #1 setting they could have been indexed again. “1. I would like my blog to be visible to everyone, including search engines (like Google, Bing, Technorati) and archivers – This is the setting used by most blogs. It lets everyone read your blog and allows your blog to be included in search engines and other content sites.”
If you have the URL to the private blog and/or any posts in it to anyone else and they linked to your blog or posts then this could result. If you linked to blogs and posts that are public this could result.

There is not such setting.
