Privacy settings for part of a blog?

I’d like to set up a new blog for our local choir. I’d like to know if it’s possible to restrict views to certain parts of the blog with a password, while leaivng other parts of the blog open to public view? For example, a page or tab where an address list is held, accessible only to those people with a password.

Is this a feature in any level of WP user, e.g. PRO, or I am looking at 2 seperate sites to do this – one closed and the other open?

    Thank you, Mariellen Romer

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can password protect individual Posts or Pages – no extra charge – built in – when you edit a Post or Page look on the Publish area (upper right hand corner) – there will be a couple of different options – Password protect is one of them –
