Privacy Violation/Questionable WordPress Site
-
I was trying to report a TOS violaltion to WordPress regarding a supposed WordPress site and when I filled in the complaint form the site came up as “not a wordpress site”.
However, on the site that needs reporting it specifically states that it is a WordPress site and links to WordPress. How do I get in contact with WordPress Support about finding out if it indeed supported by WordPress and if it isn’t, why is the blogger allowed to spray their name all over his site?

There are two “flavors” of WordPress. They are WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG.
WordPress.org offers free software that you can install on a web server. You can upload and install themes and plugins, run ads, conduct ecommerce and edit the database. Learn about the differences here. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ and know that 22% of sites you see on the internet are running free WordPress.ORG software. They are not hosted by WordPress.COM.
WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support forums.
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_PageTo report any site not hosted by WordPress.COM you have to determine who hosts the site and then contact that web host.
