Private Article

I have just written a private post and marked it private. Now, I just want to give out my URL for that particular private post from my email inviting some people to come and read hat private post and be able to comment. The other posts on my blog are anyways public, however this particular one is a private one.
How do I go about inviting people for this particular post? I tried entering the URL by logging out and checking if people can access the same..but it gives me that page of search and nothing on there.
Please advise the correct way. Thanks

The other option is to password-protect a post. See the “Password Protect this post” option below your post.

Ok..so I tried password protecting the post. In that case, I would remove the option of private? and publish it normally?

When I Password protect the post and log out to check my website, I see the post appearing entirely, and not prompting to enter a password.

You will of course see it because your computer has the cookie which says THAT computer has the password. If you clear your browser cache and cookies before trying to look at the post, you’ll see it’s password-protected.
