  hello, I’d like to make my blog private and choose/invite those who read it. What is the limit on people I can invite to read it?

  There is not linit on the total number of those who can be invited. You can only issue 10 invitations at a time. Then later you can issue 10 more. That’s a spam prevention limitation. http://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/#invite-people-to-view-your-private-blog
