  I’m new as a blogger and would like to keep my blog private to start. Is this possible? I searched your site but had a hard time locating this setting.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  To change blog visibility to private go to > Settings > Reading scroll to Blog Visibility and choose option 3 . See the guide here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

  On the bottom of your Admin page you will find a link to the Learn WordPress.com blogging Tutorial prepared by Staff. http://learn.wordpress.com/

  The support documentation is all found at the Support link http://en.support.wordpress.com which is also on the bottom of your Admin page.

  Hi again,
  You must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blogs.
  Settings > Reading

  Site Visibility
  _Allow search engines to index this site
  _Discourage search engines from indexing this site
  Note: Neither of these options blocks access to your site — it is up to search engines to honor your request.

  _I would like my site to be private, visible only to users I choose

  Hi thanks for the support, I really appreciate it. I logged off and on again but when I go to settings (underneath my profile pic) there is drag down menu that says “account info…” nothing on reader or blog viewing. I’ve gone through them so many times! Frustrating!!!

  That’s your account settings. It’s not the dashboard settings I was referring to. :)
