  Hello, I would like to restrict the access of my blog to a small group of friends. Is it possible to privatize the access by password? If yes how to throw the invitation to my chosen readers?

  Privatizing your blog only to your chosen readers is definitely possible.

  Please check the third site visibility option in this support document: https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

  You can invite as many users as you want but only ten at a time. This limit is in place to deter spammers.
