  I set up a private blog and want specific people to be able to log on and post. Do they have to set up a WordPress account?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Yes, they would need WordPress accounts, but they do not need to have blogs:

  May I please suggest that you are very cautious about what role you assign to your new user?

  Advice: Be careful what roles you give people, especially if you want them to be an Editor or Administrator.
