private blog affecting email subscriptions?

    hi! i would like to make my blog private, however, does anyone know if enabling this setting affects your email subscriptions to your blog or google reader subscriptions? does it only mean people cannot access it by searching it directly? thanks so much!

    It eliminates the RSS feed, so all the Google Reader subscriptions will go POOF, but email subscriptions should stay.
