Private blog and the need for readers to have wordpress account
-
I want to write a family blog, just to keep in touch with family. Ive made it Private, but now realise my readers (most of whom are technically challenged) have to go through he process of creating an account to be able to follow and read my blog.
Is there a way of me keeping the posts private without them having to go through these steps?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Not really. You could password protect each post, but then you’d have to share the password around, and that’s not very private.

Thanks, a p;assword protect would be fine – does that negate the need for a WP account ?
