Private Blog – Email notification – to authors

    I have a private blog. Actually we. 7 of us. We would want to be ALL notified when there is a new post on OUR blog. How can it be done. Since, ours is a private blog the usual RSS and Feedburner tricks wont work.

    The only way I have seen this done is for each author to email all of the others when a post goes up.

    I ran into a similar issue. I resolved this by creating an email address with a free email service (gmail) and used this email as the email address on file with our blog. Then I created filters on the gmail account to forward emails from wordpress.com to each of us that manage the blog. The result is that every time there is a notification, it is sent to the gmail account, which forwards it to each of us. We are all notified.
