Private blog getting Trashed Pages Visits
-
I made my blog private on Dec 23 to allow time for reconstruction and re-release in January. I deleted all my previous pages to the Trash and I have gotten about 8 visits to those trashed pages in the last six days even though I have not invited anyone to the blog. A couple times I briefly restored some to check information but quickly put them back in the trash in the same session. How in the world am I getting visits to pages on a Private blog—much less pages in the Trash—by others, since my own visits do not count?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There are two different privacy options. Did you choose option2. or option 3? http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
Are you the ONLY Administrator and ONLY official user of the blog?
Did you provide anyone with the URL to the blog or to the posts and pages?
Have you left your sign-on information anywhere that anyone else could access it? -
Attempts to access private pages still count as a hit, I believe. They can’t see the content, but they can attempt to go to the pages. Also, if Google has a cached version, that may be where the hits are going. Since the blog was public until a few days ago, that’s quite likely what’s happening.

Thanks very much for your help. That would explain it since I don’t have my login credentials written down and I am the only admin of the blog and the setting I chose renders it inaccessible to the public.

Yes I checked too and found that your posts are in Google’s cache. It takes about 3 – 6 months for them to clear their cache. Once a URL “404”s as the post has been deleted you can use the URL removal tool to get them cleared sooner but as no one can get into the blog – why bother?

Especially when the Wayback Archive will pick up where Google leaves off. lol
Yeah, I only deleted them because I have something better, not to erase their memory.
