Private blog how to block subscribers getting email updates via WP dashboard

  I have set up a private blog and only those WP users I invite can view content. However, can anyone advise how I can block these subscribers from Subscribing to emails everytime I update the blog, as this means they will have access to my blog content by email without having to log in?

  If your blog is private, only users with access will be able to subscribe.

  Did these individuals subscribe before your blog was made private?
