Hi Adam,
There are really two main options here:
- If you would like to make your entire blog private, you will need to manually invite viewers to view your blog. They will need to have a WordPress.com account to view your blog. Instructions can be found here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/#viewing-a-private-blog
http://support.wordpress.com/adding-users/#invite-people-to-view-your-private-blog
- An alternative would be to set each post to passcode protected. In this method, all of your content would be available to anyone unless you password protected it as described here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#password-protect-a-post
However, in this method, if you post something to your blog, you could put the password on your Facebook page and target it only to Facebook friends with a link to the post. This eliminates the need for them all to have WordPress.com accounts. However, there’s really nothing in place to stop them from sharing the code with anyone else.
Look over those two options and let me know how you would like to move forward!
