Private Blog – Visit Statistics
-
I just made my blog private and will be inviting a few others to view it. However, now when I read/check/view a post, my country/views show in my statistics.
How do I stop myself showing in my blog stats?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi! According to this link,
http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/ that is not supposed to be happening when you are logged into your wordpress.com site. If this continues to happen, you should report the issue to staff.

Let me know if this helps or if you figure out the problem. -
Private blogs count the owner’s views on WordPress.com. They didn’t used to, but they do now. You cannot stop this as long as the blog is private.

Thank you raincoaster, although that is not what I wanted to hear. I think I will contact the staff anyway like phantomcoast suggests and see if it can go back to how it was… Thanks

Just found this link in the forums – I looked for something yesterday but must be using a better combo of words today…
Reading the responses to it I am unsure that the “fix” was so useful to everyone…

@isabeaujade
Hi there,
You posted a link to a WordPress.ORG support forum thread. It’s not relevant and there’s no need to contact our Staff as raincoaster already provided the correct answer to your question. You can verify that here http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/The only relevant support docs for WordPress.COM blogs are found here http://support.wordpress.com
WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate, have different log-ins and run different versions of some themes with same names. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
