Private Blogs and Users

  I am aware of how to set up a private blog.

  My question is, once you have checked the option for it to be private BUT BEFORE you add the list of users you want to give access to, can any wordpress.com user view the blog?

  In other words, before I invite users, I want the blog unviewable by anyone except me for a time.

  I know this seems like it should be the case but I just want to double check.

  No, the only people who can see the blog once it’s made private are those who you have added or are coauthors on your blog; so if you haven’t invited anyone previously, once it’s changed you’ll be the only one who can see it. Everyone else who is logged in to WordPress will get sent to their dashboard whether they’ve seen your blog before or not.
